The Health Communication and Behavioral Sciences Group provides expertise in identifying and resolving complex structural problems that affect health, healthcare delivery, and healthcare organizational management from a social, behavioral, and consumer-oriented perspective. Experts apply qualitative and quantitative research methods and analysis with firsthand experience in provider organizations to address the change, prevention, risk, and communication needs of organizations and promote positive growth within the healthcare sector.

This is a new position that involves leading project work and developing innovative approaches to evaluate and measure effective learning system approaches within and across complex organizations. This position will work with senior leaders across organizations and manage the project work across teams/subcontractors to develop and test of learning across health care delivery and payment models You will mold the direction of future learning programs and be a key player in building a culture of continuous learning across complex organizations.

Key Functions:
• Plan, implement, and evaluate health communication, organizational effectiveness and learning system activities designed to impact positive health outcomes, organizational strategy and payment model development.
• Create learning communities and manage collaboration across work programs to ensure information sharing and integration of related activities including managing coordination of project work including sub-contractors
• Identify best practices and standardization to integrate information and activities across programs and projects
• Develop strategies and implementation plans for government programs for health initiatives and campaigns for the general public and other audiences, including innovative demonstration projects.
• Lead organizational analyses and provide recommendations for organizational changes to meet sponsors goals including learning systems
• Coordinate and conduct activities related to long- and short-range planning; program and project development, implementation and evaluation; target audience research; and translation and dissemination of scientific information to audiences in a variety of formats.
• Lead development of strategy for stakeholder engagement, stakeholder analyses, organizational assessments, development, and design supporting health related organizations.
• Lead application of communication theories and models to health communication campaign development; use audience segmentation analysis and formative research to select appropriate communication channels and messages to achieve positive health outcomes including digital and social media.
• Develop, test, and disseminate science and scientific information and audience-based products, tools, and messages (i.e., via written, electronic, and audiovisual formats) to different audiences in a variety of formats.
• Develop tools/metrics to measure program/project impact

Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 10 years related experience
• Master’s Degree/ Ph.D. in Health Communication, Organizational Effectiveness or related field
• Education or experience in Organizational Learning Systems to including experience implementing change across healthcare systems.
• Experience with healthcare clinical environments and their adoption of alternative payment models.
• Experience with contract management and demonstrated ability to partner with sub-contractors to achieve excellent results.
• Experience in leading communication campaigns in print, digital and social media.
• Demonstrated competencies in the ability to develop partnerships across industry.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to translate and disseminate scientific information across a variety of platforms
• Experience with the federal government sector
• Experience developing concepts, processes, and systems that support organizational change.
• Skill in project management techniques to plan health communication and learning strategies
• Excellent analytical capabilities to develop key metrics to measure impact
