Seeking a senior subject matter expert to help DoD deliver capabilities to warfighters with greater speed and agility. Work with executives across OSD, Service Acquisition Executives, Program Executive Officers, major programs, Congressional staffs, and external groups on strategic initiatives and reforms. Provide thought leadership to DoD sponsors on rapid acquisition, Agile acquisition, digital acquisition, accelerating acquisition programs, portfolio management across DoD acquisition, requirements, and budget systems, exploiting leading technologies for military advantage, and simplifying the complex enterprise for greater efficiency and effectiveness. Come join MITRE's strategic group to shape DoD's implementation of recent reforms directed by Congress and new pathways to streamline the complex bureaucracy.

Seeking creative thinker, willing to challenge the status quo to drive significant changes. Must have strong teamwork skills and experience in:

  • DoD acquisitions, requirements, and budget systems
  • Managing a program, requirements, or budgets for major programs and portfolio of programs.
  • Working with and presenting to DoD executives on program strategies, portfolio oversight, and key initiatives
  • Leading or actively participating in developing and implementing strategic reforms in these areas
  • Authoring articles, papers, or presentations in key initiatives, emerging areas, new concepts, research, or exemplar programs
  • Developing tools, guidance, and/or resources for acquisition professionals
  • Candidate must possess an active DoD secret clearance and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD top secret clearance.




  • BS and 10 years of related experience including 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Possess an active DoD top secret clearance.



  • BS and 8 years related experience
