Join MITRE’s Cyber Security Technology Center team and employ your technical expertise in cross domain technology to research, design, and develop solutions to address information sharing and security challenges. This position provides the opportunity to leverage your expertise in cross domain solutions is a technical advisory role with significant customer interaction at the Government executive level across the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD). In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS) systems engineering as part of larger systems engineering efforts and support the development of system designs that meet both mission functional requirements and security policy and assurance requirements. This position is supported by a unique lab environment with a variety of current CDS and other cutting edge technologies where solutions and analysis of alternatives may be undertaken for a variety of customers.


 Key Functions:

  • Engage with technical experts within MITRE and from the Unified Cross Domain Services Management Office (UCDSMO), DoD, the IC, CDS vendors, and the CDS user community to identify and solve information sharing and security challenges
  • Provide technical expertise on the application and enabling of Enterprise Cross Domain Services (ECDS)
  • Coordinate with DoD and IC CDS communities to identify ECDS requirements and gaps
  • Identify ECDS when possible to meet information access and sharing requirements, and provide guidance on how to make best use of currently available CDSs
  • Perform CDS tradeoff analysis, and assess designs/implementation on their ability to support functional requirement 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS and 8 years related experience
  • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Cyber security and CDS
  • Ability to apply security principles and mechanisms to the systems and enterprise system designs
  • Knowledge / expertise in systems security engineering, including requirements analysis and system architecture design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI level security clearance
