Do you want to be a thought leader for high-impact teams supporting innovative government IT acquisitions?  Your work will include developing new organization procurement strategies, streamlining processes, and advising on acquisitions through award and beyond.   You will develop new approaches to rapidly and flexibly meeting sponsor needs and work side-by-side with the government to bring these ideas to life. 

A successful candidate will have experience with federal procurement, including the latest approaches to Best-in-Class and be able to apply that experience to a variety of IT procurement needs involving both goods and services. The individual must have excellent communication skills and attention to detail.  

Key Functions

  • Analyze the current state and recommend organizational and individual acquisition strategies.
  • Advise sponsors on the benefits and use of various IT acquisition methods and contracting strategies in the Washington DC and Baltimore areas
  • Help sponsors translate their mission, vision, goals and strategies into actionable programs that meet their timelines.
  • Develop inputs to artifacts such as the SOW/PWS/SOO, QASP, and requirements.
  • Assist with specific acquisitions from strategy development through award. 

Required Qualifications

  • Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to successfully complete an IRS Minimum Background Investigation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Information Systems Management or related disciplines.
  • 7+ years’ experience in federal acquisition
  • Strong communications skills and be able to explain technical concepts to non-technical decision-makers
  • Ability to work alone or in a team
Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in any management or technical degree program, including MBA, Public Policy, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology or related field
  • Experience and proficiency in:
    • Developing acquisition strategies and planning; acquisition management policies and procedures; market research; and acquisition documentation
    • Performance-based and challenge-based acquisitions
